It was the middle of the afternoon. She was trying to break into the house through a back window.
[Philadelphia Police Department Inspector] Pace said one of the people inside, who police believe is licensed to carry, warned the woman to stop, but she refused. That's when the homeowner shot the woman, Pace said.
She was declared dead at a local hospital at 2 PM.
Even in deep-blue Philadelphia, the police are treating this like it is justified, though the police are quick to point out that the DA makes the determination on charges.
Self-defense is a human right.
