Everyone involved is an idiot. Senior Assassin Game in Louisiana Leads To Gunfire, Arrests
Senior Assassin is a game involving squirt guns. They were trying "eliminate" people in a guy's driveway. He called police, thinking there was a problem.
Before officers arrived, her son showed up and fired several warning shots into the ground out of fear for their safety.
This is not allowed in most places, and not allowed in Louisiana.
Authorities later located and arrested several of the students, who are now facing criminal mischief charges. The man who fired the weapon was also cited for illegal discharge of a firearm.
Don't be stupid. Everyone is stupid in this incident. The high school students I can almost understand, as it is sort of the business of high school students to be stupid, but with all of the coverage of Ding-Dong-Ditch recently, you would think someone would realize that acting like a threat is bad.
And just don't do warning shots. Or at least know where they are and are not legal. They are mostly not legal.
Kenner, Louisiana is in Jefferson Parrish, about 10 miles west of downtown New Orleans.
