Relatives of Dead People Don't Like Self-Defense

Their loved one would never hurt anyone. Indianapolis assault suspect's family questions IMPD

He was shot in what the police are calling self-defense. His nephew is in jail. The family is mad.

Jamar Thomas died last week while receiving treatment at Eskenazi Hospital for a gunshot wound to the stomach. The 45-year-old from Indianapolis was in police custody at the time of his death, facing felony charges that included battery, robbery and criminal confinement.

Now I don't know what happened, I only know what I read for the post had published the other day, and this story. But the cops are saying they have enough data, witnesses, whatever to say this is self-defense. And to be fair what are the relatives going to say about this guy? That he had anger management issues? That he had impulse control problems? Or are they going to say that he was a great guy?

Self-defense is a human right, and Indiana has always been good about recognizing the legal right.
