The slow-motion approach to totalitarianism means that most people don’t realize how we have gone, in the space of about 40 or 50 years, from prohibiting certain beliefs as “racist,” to now attempting to prohibit other beliefs, attitudes and opinions for no reason except that some people’s feelings are hurt.
