The Drifters came up before Christmas on social media, thanks to their cover of "White Christmas." I lamented that not many people know any other song from The Drifters, and they really only know that because of the movies Home Alone, and The Santa Clause. I thought I should do something to rectify that situation.
Membership in that band has changed a lot, and that isn't surprising since they were formed in 1953 or '54 and the band is still together today.
This is "Under the Boardwalk" by The Drifters. It was a single in 1964, and while I'm sure it was collected in an album at some point, albums were not a focus in the early 1960s.
