Home invaders are still getting shot. Fort Worth Homeowner Shoots Suspected Intruder During Early Morning Confrontation - USA Carry
On the morning of January 12, 2026, a suspected intruder was fatally shot by a homeowner after allegedly attempting to break into a locked garage in the 3400 block of Avenue L. The incident occurred around 6:00 AM, prompting a swift response from Fort Worth Police.
Why would you not assume that every homeowner in Texas is armed? They probably aren't all armed, but once you are outside of Austin, it is probably a better bet to assume they are.
The resident immediately called 911 to report the incident and request medical assistance. He remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with law enforcement. No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing.
Because this didn't happen in New York City.
