Investigators said a woman pulled a gun on the security guard outside of Bloom Southfield after an earlier fight involving her sister and brother-in-law.
The guard fired six shots, killing 33-year-old Alexandra Fields and accidentally hitting another person in the leg.

As far as I can tell, this incident took place on January 10th. That means that the Oakland County DA's office moved at warp speed to get this decision in under 2 weeks. Oakland County, Michigan is home to Pontiac (the county seat), and Southfield.
Southfield, Michigan is roughly 15 miles northwest of downtown Detroit.
Self-defense is really becoming a thing in Michigan.

I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck that the "security guard" was an off duty cop moonlighting. That is why this was rubber stamped as "self defense" at such a fast speed. The system protects it's hired muscle.
