Rubber Band Man

It is a bit unusual for a folk band to achieve huge success, though of course not unheard of. Mumford & Sons is a folk band from the UK, out of Greater London. They made a bit of splash since releasing their first album in 2009, wining the Brit Award for Best British Album in 2011, and six Grammy Award nominations.

Hozier is an Irish folk musician. He was born Andrew John Hozier-Byrne, but is mostly known by his mononym. His debut single reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US in 2013. And at least it is a change from the over-produced slop that has become known as Pop Music.

It is not too surprising they decided to team up.

This song is "Rubber Band Man" by Mumford & Sons with Hozier. It was released as a single in October of 2025.

Mumford & Sons released their first album since 2018 this year, though this song is not on that album.

  1. Wasn't Mumford & Sons the band that one of its members had to leave because he said something nice about a conservative?

    1. If I limited my music to artists that I agree with politically, I would be listening to a handful of Country and Western acts from the 1970s.
