While the extended Thanksgiving weekend has been known to put up summer-like numbers in the past, this year, officers Cold, Blustery and Stormy will be cracking down on the non-demonizable silly decisions.
And they did experience "the snowiest day in Chicago in November." They set a record, at least as recorded at O'Hare airport.
Final Turkey Tally: 5 killed, 13 wounded
2024 Thanksgiving: 6 killed, 19 wounded
2023 Thanksgiving: 3 killed, 29 wounded
And while that does look like a vast improvement over 2 years ago, that includes the fact that there were no shootings recorded between roughly 3 AM on Saturday, and 5 PM on Sunday. I'm sure mayor Brandon will declare that crime is down.
