He was charging at an ex-girlfriend when his nephew intervened. Man shot in self defense amid chaotic confrontation has died, according to MCSO
The gun-hating part of the Left loves to go on at length about the fact that if you own a gun, you are more likely to shoot someone you know than a complete stranger. There is a reason for that. (That part of the Left has apparently never heard of domestic violence.)
Prichard, Alabama is a suburb of Mobile, being about 5 miles northwest of downtown.
His ex didn't like the flowers he brought, so he ran to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of knives.
[Mobile County Sheriff Paul] Burch says Keenta Todd charged Kenton Todd with the knives. And the 23-year-old nephew fired two shots, striking his 47-year-old uncle in the chest. Keenta Tood later died at the hospital.
I don't know much about this sheriff, but I like what this article says about him.
"I will not refer to him as a victim. He has an extensive criminal history of violence," said Burch.
The nephew stayed at the scene, and has cooperated with the investigation. He has not been charged with a crime.
Self-defense is a human right, and it appears to be a legal right in Alabama.
