Madman Across The Water

Elton John is (or at least was - I've not heard him in a very long time) a great singer, but what makes his music great is the writing by Bernie Taupin.

The album today's song comes from the album that includes the song "Tiny Dancer." That song is the only one most people remember from this album. Which is odd because in 1971 it never made it into the Top 40, stopping at 41. It did get a fair amount of play on the FM stations of the day. (Top 40 being mostly an AM phenomenon.)

This song is "Madman Across The Water" by Elton John. It is the title song to his 1971 album.

And yes, this is aother song courtesy of WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback. This is from early October.
