You will eventually find an armed homeowner. Attempted burglary suspect identified in shooting on Rose Lane in Raleigh: Police
The news release from police sent later Wednesday morning said the preliminary investigation is indicating 26-year-old Christian Beasley was shot by the homeowner after “forcibly entering the residence.”
He kicked in the door, was shot, and spent the rest of the night in a trauma center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The homeowner said that after he ran and got his gun, the burglary suspect not only remained in the house, but charged at him.
If an armed homeowner asks you to leave his house, you might consider leaving the house.
Self-defense is a human right. While the investigation is not complete - there is a lot of paperwork to do - North Carolina has a history of recognizing self-defense as a legal right.
