And in Texas, you really should not start a fight with someone in their own home. SAPD: Homeowner shoots guest after violent outburst at northeast-side gathering
Is San Antonio a big enough city that I don't need to provide a geographic reference?
A man was shot late Saturday night after police say a get-together at a northeast-side home took a violent turn.
I wonder if this is a case alcohol/drugs being dangerous to your health.
When the homeowner asked the man to leave, police say the man became even more aggressive and got into a verbal argument with the homeowner.
Authorities said the homeowner tried to walk away from the altercation when the man began to hit him. The homeowner told police he feared for his life and pulled out a gun, shooting the man in the lower body.
Yes, Texans are armed in their own homes. And not just Texans.
Police said it may be a case of self-defense, but the investigation is not complete, and the cops don't make that call anyway.
The moral of the story is, if someone asks you to leave their home, you should do it.

In the article, other than 'guest', 'homeowner', 'man' in the way of providing identity, which is to say the avoidance of providing specific identity, I posit one of two possibilities:
ReplyDelete1) domestic disputes are so commonplace in that area that they are hardly newsworthy except to the purpose of not disclosing certain identity features, possibly to skew crime statistics; 2) certain racial and cultural elements present a disposition to engage in such behaviors. The latter therefore suggests the former.
IOW, it is less alchohol/illicit drug consumption than it is the racial and cultural elements.
Of curse I could be wrong.
It must have been quite a hootenanny in that shooting was the only proper response to the altercation. Or, does one have a certain proclivity to shoot first.
