He hit her car from behind, but in his mind it was her fault. How a USCCA Member Survived a Violent Attack | USCCA
Milli Stanford-Miles was threatened and chased, and when finally cornered with a "teenager" leaning into her car window assaulting her, she defended herself.
Then of course, she was arrested. And I'm completely, 100%, absolutely sure that her race had nothing to do with anything. It is a deep blue city, and she asked for a lawyer.
In the 22-month battle that followed, Stanford-Miles came to believe that truth alone wouldn’t be enough to protect her. In California, she thought, simply owning a gun made you a suspect — and prosecutors weren’t seeking justice, just wins.
OK. I can't figure out when this incident occurred, and the article itself amounts to little more than an advertisement the U.S. Concealed Carry Association. Still it is worth a look.
And while I don't have the USCCA membership, I do pay for one of the legal assistant programs. "Every bullet comes with a lawyer attached."
