Ken Griffin moved his company, and his employees, to Miami from Chicago in 2022. Primarily because of crime. (Or that is when he announced the move, anyway.) I would have to look at what was written at the time, but I'm guessing taxes were a part of it too.
Griffin frequently criticized Chicago’s crime and political climate before moving his company’s headquarters to Florida. He has said that employees and their families grew increasingly concerned about safety.
