This article is a list of all things that authorities know. I don't know if the investigation is still going on or not.
Patients were drugged. At least one patient was raped, and died as a result of her injuries. Hospital staff took drugs for their personal use. This didn't happen in a day. It happened over years.
As for the response, "Leadership" has changed at the hospital, and they are cooperating with the investigation, which implies that it is ongoing.

There are lots of hospitals in America with substandard service, but I’m hard-pressed to think of one where six different staff members have been sent to jail for their crimes there.
