End of Watch. Missouri pays tribute to Sikeston Officer Franklin with half-staff flags
Officer Franklin was killed on October 6 while assisting in the apprehension of a murder suspect in Mississippi County. Police said the suspect, concealed inside a home, shot and killed Franklin during the service of an arrest warrant.
Franklin served in the U.S. Army and Missouri Army National Guard, participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. He earned his Missouri Peace Officer License in 2013 and served with distinction in Sikeston, including roles as a K9 Handler and SWAT team member.
