A man was fatally shot after he kicked in the door to a South Carolina apartment, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
This event took place on Sunday the 19th of October.
Richland County, South Carolina is the county that includes Columbia.
The guy who got shot was taken to a local hospital, but he did not survive.
On Wednesday, investigators closed the case after determining that the shooting is a justifiable homicide.
Self-defense is a human right, and it seems to be a legal right in South Carolina. (Hat tip to Concealed Nation.)
