He Pointed a Gun At an Off-Duty Cop

Even the Professional Journalists (so called) at the NY Post have to go for sensational headlines. Family of black man gunned down by off-duty cop admits shooting was ‘justified,’ gets video released to ‘quell’ rumors

Elijah Wilks was shot in justified self-defense. He was not "gunned down." He played a stupid game. He won the usual prize.

The family of an armed black man who was shot dead by an off-duty police officer has said the shooting was “justified” — while approving police efforts to rush the release of video to “quell misinformation” and protests.

That is truly the amazing thing.

The family initially didn't believe the police version of events. "He didn't have a gun!" Then they saw the video.

And yes, I recognize their grief. I have had relatives and friends die young. One cousin died in high school. Another was killed in a car crash and left behind a wife and two kids. It is tragic when people die young. But this was not an instance of police misconduct; it was justified self-defense.

There is a lesson here... I might have to buy another camera. The cop was off duty, and on his way to work. There is still dashcam video of the incident.

This is RuinedLeon's video Shooting So Justified The Family Sided With The Cops

Stop me if you've heard this before. Black man versus cop. Cop wins. Black man dead. All the fanfare around the circumstances of how they got there and police brutality, police discrimination. Black men are always being hunted down by police. fanfare, protests, demands for justice, maybe the burning of a certain fast food chain, little bit of robbery, people trying to justify it, and ultimately we come to a conclusion that satisfies one group and disappoints.

The video is less than 10 minutes.
