A lot of people consider The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly to be the best of the 3 Spaghetti Westerns from Sergio Leone that starred Clint Eastwood. It is a good movie, but I actually prefer For A Few Dollars More. I'm not sure the theme song is better...
Whichever movie you prefer, we had the theme to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly at the end of last year. Today we get another movie theme from The Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
This is the theme to For A Few Dollars More performed by the The Danish National Symphony Orchestra. It was recorded live at DR Koncerthuset in 2018. (That is a concert venue in Copenhagen.)
As for "The man with no name" movies, the best, in my opinion, is Pale Rider, also starring Eastwood. No. It isn't a Spaghetti Western. Eastwood directed it, which probably explains why the movie captures the "avenging angel" aspect of The Man With No Name perfectly.
The Outlaw Josey Wales is my favorite. I just finished reading: CLINT a biography of Eastwood by Shawn Levy. A good book, but a little wordy....
ReplyDeleteHigh Plains Drifter is the best, imho. You have to watch the whole movie including credits. Films like these are not made anymore which is why I don’t go to theaters anymore.
