However, the department said its investigation revealed more about what happened. Police said the shooter was accosted by the man verbally and physically. The shooter used his own gun lawfully for protection. Because of this, the department said no charges will be filed.
The guy who got shot has been charged with 3rd-degree assault and battery. His court date is waiting for his release from the hospital.
Rock Hill, South Carolina is about 20 miles south of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina.
