The teen, who police said exchanged gunfire with the south Wichita homeowner on Sept. 27, was wounded at the scene and taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Released from the hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 14, police said the teen was booked into the Sedgwick County Juvenile Detention Facility on charges that include attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery, burglary to auto and for being a juvenile in possession of a firearm.
So first he got shot, then he spent more than 2 weeks in a hospital, and now he has been charged and has landed in detention.
Do we think he will learn that crime doesn't pay?
The homeowner was also injured in that exchange of gunfire.
