Chicago politicians have been accused of many things: Cooking the books on crime statistics. Prioritizing illegal aliens over citizens. Being fiscally irresponsible. Being Corrupt.
The news is full of stories about Trump sending the National Guard to Chicago, but what he is sending is federal law enforcement, starting, but not ending, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

You know, this is the real problem. If the leaders of a city are going to come out and say that the criminals are victims and that they need to be protected and that they need second chances, if that's what's going to happen and people are never ever ever in trouble for what they do, why would they stop if they're criminals? These aren't people that are learning lessons with no accountability.
It is a point I have made many times. Without consequences for their actions, why would you expect them to change their behavior?
