From The Crime Prevention Research Center: The Catholic School Shooter in Minneapolis Claims that He Would Prefer to Target a “Gun-Free Zone” Because the Victims are Defenseless. “That’s why I and many others like schools so much.”
It turns out that it wasn’t an accident that attack in Minneapolis occurred at a gun-free zone. The murderer’s manifesto makes it clear that he purposely picked a gun-free zone.
Say it again. He explicitly picked a gun-free zone because the victims could not fight back.
On the same page, the murderer makes a common argument by those on the political right: “criminals with intentions are not going to follow rules!” As he points out, gun-free zones are a magnet for these attacks.
As I said on Wednesday, we know how to make a location secure. People don't want to spend the money on schools. And your world of choices are not either do nothing, or turn schools into prisons. There are other choices. The Left doesn't want to do anything.
Why? I will leave it to you to figure that out.
The very same was said by the shooter at the Aurora movie theater.
