Self-Defense Is Legal in Arkansas

I suspected that it might be. No charges in Phillips County shooting as prosecutor rules self-defense in fatal act

In the early morning hours of July 5th, there was a fatal shooting.

Arkansas State Police's (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) launched an investigation in the shooting, leading Prosecutor Murray to conclude that 41-year-old Decorick Farr acted in self-defense in the fatal shooting of 38-year-old William "Red" Henderson.

Poplar Grove, Arkansas is about 100 mile drive east of Little Rock, or about an 80 mile drive southwest of Memphis, Tennessee.

The articles published about the prosecutor's decision don't include much information on the incident itself.

Considering that they had to get the state police involved, I think they did a fairly good job of getting to a decision by the middle of August.

Self-defense is a human right.
