Today we have a Heavy Metal band out of Victoria, British Columbia that I really like. I believe I was introduced to them by way of commenter - either here or at the Archives. I quite like them. Brittney Hayes (a.k.a. Brittney Slayes) has a great singing voice, and she is often singing in the Beauty and the Beast style with guitarist Grant Truesdell, who does the Death Metal, Death Growl. Andrew Kingsley, also on guitar, adds clean vocals. Nick Miller is on bass, and Scott Buchanan is the other founding member along with Brittney Slayes.
And although there is a bit of the Death Growl floating around - more on this song, than some others - they are basically Power Metal, with undertones of old-school Rock & Roll.
