Death Is Big Business for Doctors

I guess that whole, "Do no harm," directive has been modified a bit. Quick Takes – Euthanasia Death Toll: 30,000 Globally; 60% Rise In The Netherlands; 7.4% Of All Dead In Quebec

The Netherlands have had assisted suicide longer than most countries, but I guess the Canadians are in a hurry to catch up.

Speaking of Canada, 7.3% of all people who died in Quebec died due to euthanasia.

Quebec has apparently "adopted the practice more enthusiastically than virtually any other human society."

And I'm sure that this has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that treating sick people, and especially terminally ill people, is expensive. I mean, the government bureaucrats would never factor that into their calculations, would they?

I miss living in a civilized society.
