More on the Insanity That Will Be The Fantastic Four Movie

Disney (and Hollywood in general) Hates Money. At this point that is the ONLY explanation that makes sense.

We have two more takes on this insanity.

Hey Hollywood. If you want to adapt a book, comic book, whatever, that you paid good money to get the rights to, then adapt that piece of intellectual property. If you don't like that IP, then don't adapt it. Find another book, or write something new. Because if you screw it up, you are going to piss off the fans, who would have been your built in audience, and paid your bills. Don't update it for a modern audience. Don't ship people that you think would be cute together. Adapt the IP or go home.

And when you piss off what should be your built-in audience, and ignore what they want, you will end up with The Marvels, or Captain America: Brave New World, or The Flash, or Indiana Jones and the Insufferable Feminist or Snow White. There are many examples of this from Disney-Marvel, from DC, from Lucasfilm, from Pixar, from Amazon, from movies, and from TV.
