First we get the news story from the NY Post. Florida dad fatally shoots neighbor who tried to run him over, followed son home in road rage incident.
Marcus Blicker, 47, was accused of following the shooter’s 16-year-old son and the teen’s friend when the pair drove past his home in Port Orange – a suburb of Daytona Beach — on Oct. 26, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Blicker quickly left his home, started following the kids and was “erratically swerving” at the two vehicles they were driving, police said.
The two vehicles were a pickup truck towing a boat-trailer (complete with boat).
The situation is complicated. The guy was getting evicted. Several people had called 911 on him during the day, but the cops were not able to do anything. In the end, he tried to run over a kid with his pickup truck.
The best thing to do is to watch the ASP video below. The two hosts talk about what the defender did right, what they did wrong, what is legal in Florida, but probably isn't legal where you are, and what to tell your kids.
In the end, the Florida Man who was issuing verbal threats, and drove his vehicle at a kid standing on a lawn, was shot and killed.

In addition to the NY Post story linked above, there is a TV news story from WOGX Fox 51: Video shows fatal altercation between neighbors. That includes an interview with the shooter a few days after the incident.
And of course, relatives of dead people don't like self-defense. "He would never," is not a good way to start a defense of a family member when there is video evidence of him doing bad things.
