A former Australian federal police officer has been charged with manufacturing submachine guns and supplying them to gangs in New South Wales.
The post includes a couple of photos of the guns he produced. They seem to be a variation on the square-tube SMG by Professor Parabellum, with a few modifications, like an AR-15 grip.

You can outlaw stuff, but if people want it, someone will supply it. That is known as free markets - or black markets when the .gov tries to outlaw stuff.
