When "No Ads" Really Means "Yes, There Are Ads!"

Disney+ clarifies their premium/"no ads" term. Ads on Disney

This is the Disney+ statement on their Premium tier, which THEY call "ad free." It isn't ad free.

If you subscribe to Disney+ Premium (No Ads), Disney Bundle Duo Premium: Disney+ (No Ads) and Hulu (No Ads), Disney Bundle Trio Premium: Disney+ (No Ads), Hulu (No Ads), and ESPN+ (With Ads), or Legacy Disney Bundle: Disney+ (No Ads), Hulu (With Ads), and ESPN+ (With Ads), on-demand movies and shows on Disney+ will be generally free of commercial interruption. However, the Disney+ service included in these plans may include limited promotional content including clips and trailers that highlight content available on Disney+ or other Disney products and services, branded content, product integrations, or sponsorship messaging. In addition, ads will be served in select live and linear content, including TV streams, special events, and much of the ESPN+ sports content available on Disney+.

I can give them ESPN, since they are in at least some cases dependent on the feed they get from the sports team/sports league, but this specifically says that some Disney+ content is going to be interrupted with ads, even if you paid for no ads.

Isn't this called bait and switch? Are we shocked that Disney is doing this? Could it be that no matter what they do, they can't make money on streaming?

The hat tip goes to Louis Rossmann and his video Disney+ puts ads into premium, ad-free tier; f this, just pirate it all.
