A Corpus Christi, Texas homeowner confronted a stranger in his backyard. The stranger "advanced" with an unknown object in his hand.
The homeowner who said he feared for his safety as well as the safety of his family, retrieved a firearm and shot at the suspect.
Shot at the suspect. Not "shot the suspect."
The suspect fled the scene and it is unknown if he was injured or not. K9 officers, CCPD Drone Operators and CCFD Drone Operators conducted an extensive search. Local hospitals and emergency rooms were contacted but the suspect was not found.
Perhaps he will, after changing his shorts, meditate on the fact that he could have been killed.
Self-defense is a human right, and this didn't take place in New York.
