Back on Friday, 29 November, a vehicle in a shipping container exploded at the Port of Miami. The shipping container was loaded with 4 electric vehicles that had been impacted in one way or another by this year's hurricanes.
The following video was recommended by What is Going on With Shipping? The video below is pretty interesting and fairly complete about all of the things that can go wrong with electric vehicles after they've been flooded, or otherwise impacted by hurricanes.
The most disturbing thing in the video is how vehicles with damaged/salvaged/or destruction titles in Florida and become clean titles in another state.
No one was hurt when the car exploded, but that was just luck. If someone had been standing near enough to the shipping container, they could have (would have?) died.
This is the StacheD Training video Port of Miami Explosion Update: New Details!
Patrick Durham, Captain and Training Officer at Station 4 in the Troy Fire Department, Michigan. His YouTube channel covers a lot of things on fires, and how things can go wrong in a hurry. It looks like an interesting channel; I may have to check out a few videos.
