Don't engage in road rage, and don't "brandish" a firearm. From Concealed Nation we get the following story. Insane Footage Shows Man Display Gun During Road Rage Incident, Target Had Gun Ready; How Would You Have Responded?
He faces charges. He is probably lucky he wasn't shot and/or killed.
Slane, driving a black Mercedes, reportedly engaged in aggressive driving behavior, maneuvering around a victim’s truck. During this encounter, he allegedly brandished a handgun at the truck’s occupants—a driver and a passenger. The situation intensified when Slane stopped his vehicle in front of the victims, exited with the firearm still in hand, and approached the driver.
Brandishing a firearm is illegal in most jurisdictions. Trying to steal someone's cellphone because they are recording you acting like a lunatic is also not a good idea. You shouldn't assume that you are the only one in the situation with a firearm. This idiot broke all of those rules and more.
Slane now faces serious charges, including:
- Two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Attempted armed robbery
- Two counts of simple battery
The driver of the truck was armed, but never felt threatened enough to shoot this guy. A bit of a surprise that he exercised that much restraint.
This incident underscores why concealed carriers must approach every situation with a calm, measured response. Emotional decisions can lead to disastrous consequences, both legally and ethically.
