It was almost 2 years ago that these two were breaking into a car. When the owner showed up, they opened fire. The legal concealed carry license holder returned fire, striking two of the bad guys. Both the bad guys eventually turned up at local hospitals. One was shot in the knee; the other was #ShotInTheASS (as HeyJackass! would say).
Both men have been sentenced to 4 years in prison. Both men have been in jail awaiting trial, and will receive both time off for good behavior and credit for the 698 days served. They should be released in time for Christmas or New Years.
Still, that is more justice than is usually handed down by the Criminal Justice System (so called) in Chicago and Cook County. Good Guys 2, Bad Guys 0.
