An armed bystander stops a crime. I thought the Left says that this never happens. Moment Las Vegas man mows down ex-boss with SUV in act of vengeance before neighbor shoots him dead
A construction worker was fired from a home-remodeling job for showing up “in a condition where he was not fit to do his job." That quote is part of statement made by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Lieutenant Jason Johansson.
The guy who got fired had a verbal altercation with his former employer, then got in his SUV and tried to run the guy over. The employer suffered serious injuries as a result of being hit by the SUV.
By this time, some neighbors were involved, and one of them had armed himself with a shotgun.
Several witnesses were interviewed by authorities and a homeowner provided cops with the surveillance footage taken at the time of the incident. The short clip shows the a shaded SUV speeding down the street, seemingly aiming for the shotgun holder.
All those injured by the driver of the SUV will survive, though some of the injuries were severe.
A resident on the street where the SUV was running rampant, Steve Bowman, suffered a laceration to his left leg that was caused by falling debris from a wall destroyed by the driver. Other onlookers said Bowman was lucky to be alive.
“I heard somebody say, ‘He’s coming back,’ and I couldn’t move,” Bowman said. “He didn’t care who he was coming after.”
And so the driver of the SUV - I should note that an SUV is a lethal weapon - was stopped by an armed bystander.
This seems like a very clear case of self-defense to me, but I'm not a prosecuting attorney.
And I wish someone from the Gun-Hating part of the Left would explain how this situation would be better, if no one was in a position to stop the guy in the SUV.
