A Lone Star Parson Musical Interlude

Lone Star Parson brings us Choktaw Bingo by Ray Wylie Hubbard.

I always try to convince people that a lot of Outlaw Country sounds an awful lot like old school Rock & Roll, but people never believe me.

Anyway, click thru for some outlaw country. "Chocktaw Bingo" is from the 2005 album Delirium Tremolos

  1. Yes, there's a lot of overlap between Outlaw and old school (Roots) Rock and Roll. Waylon Jennings springs to mind.

Don't ask me who I gave my seat to on that plane
    I think you already know
I told you that a long time ago

Lynyrd Skynyrd and Johnny Cash's 70's albums are Outlaw in all but name.
