The gun-hating Left will tell you that this juvenile should not have had access to the means of self-defense. O'Donnell: No charges to be filed in Dalmatia double homicide
It didn't start out good for anyone.
An investigation conducted by police revealed that Christina Adams, Tracey Adams and their juvenile daughter had engaged in a verbal and physical altercation earlier in the evening.
Christina Adams and her daughter fled to Brandi Hauck's home. Hauck was Tracey Adams' step-daughter.
Tracey Adams arrived, with a gun, and demanded Hauck leave. He then shot her in the head, killing her.
Adams allegedly declared his intention to “kill everyone” in the residence and forced his way into the residence.
A juvenile male inside the residence shielded the juvenile female and Christina Adams behind him while obtaining a firearm from the house, using it to shoot Adams as he advanced toward them.
The gun-hating part of the Left, will tell you that the gun should have been locked up - stored safely, and unavailable in an emergency. Had it been, three innocent people would be dead.
Northumberland County District Attorney Michael O’Donnell issued a press release:
Preliminary investigation has indicated ... the juvenile’s actions were justifiable and prevented the death or serious bodily injury to the remaining individuals inside the home. Considering the tragic nature of this incident, we ask for respect and privacy for the family during this difficult time.
For most DAs, this is moving at warp speed to make this determination. The incident took place on Sunday the 7th of January, and the press release was issued on Tuesday the 9th.
Northumberland County is about 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
