Blazing Cat Fur starts things off with The Atlantic Melts Down at a Second Trump Term

Even for the paranoia and hysteria that have become emblematic of Never Trumpers, the Trump-hating Atlantic magazine has outdone itself.

The Other McCain - The ‘HotWifeExperience’ Democrat Won’t Go Away (and She Thinks You’re Stupid)

This is a perfect example of how the hivemind mentality takes hold in the media. Everybody employed at Politico is a Democrat, so there is never any pushback when someone comes up with obviously bad ideas like, “Hey, let’s try to rehabilitate this disgraced failure of a candidate.”

And also from The Other McCain - BREAKING: Penn’s Magill Resigns

Mere hours after I blogged about this (“‘Context Dependent’: Ivy League President Belatedly Realizes Maybe She Answered That Question About Genocide Wrong”), now the University of Pennsylvania’s embattled President Liz Magill has resigned.

Todd Starnes - High School Apologizes for Displaying Christmas Tree

An Oregon high school apologized after a Christmas tree triggered a Jewish resident who said the display was not inclusive of any other religion.

Second City Cop - City Council to be Stupid Again

The [Chicago] City council is preparing to waste more taxpayer dollars on what everyone agrees is a losing proposition, all because the "progressives" want to screw the police.

Wombat-socho - FMJRA 2.0: Dune

Apologies for the lack of posting in the latter half of the week. For no good reason I can think of, I got very little sleep before having to drive to Las Vegas. ... Clearly, I’m getting too old for this three/four-hour drive into the flatlands and back. Or maybe I need to stop more often and not try to push straight through.

Modernity - Alex Jones Is Reinstated On X, And David Icke Thinks It’s All A Big Conspiracy

Icke, who is even more of a ‘conspiracy theorist’ than Jones, posted a lengthy tweet basically demonising Elon Musk as a wolf in sheep’s clothing and labelling Jones himself as a controlled ‘Mainstream Alternative Media’ figurehead.

Pixy Misa at Ambient Irony - Daily News Stuff 10 December 2023: Migraines R Us Edition

The story of how Qantas flight 32 from London to Sydney did not end in a fiery crash and the deaths of all 469 passengers and crew. (Medium)

Though it came uncomfortable close to that. What started with an oil leak escalated in the course of a single minute to an engine exploding with such violence that a piece of the turbine demolished a brick wall on the ground 7000 feet below.
