Friday Links - 15 December

Gun Free Zone starts us off with a post about The Mass Killing that Disappeared.

The ULVN shooting that happened last week is pretty much off the Media radar by now. The shooter was a Caucasian, but the moment it was known it was a university professor (and probably a Liberal), the “importance” of the event dissolved. Other than another statistic to be (mis)used by the Gun Control groups.

Wombat-socho has a nice post on the passing of am acclaimed Sci-Fi author. David Drake, RIP

Twitter has had a fair chunk of tweets over the last day or two devoted to mourning David Drake, whose impact on science fiction, fantasy, and horror cannot be understated.

The College Fix - Billionaire confirms Harvard president was DEI hire as dozens more plagiarism accusations emerge

Did you know chlorpromazine comes in tanker cars now?

Theo Spark - Before Cars became Appliances ..............from Rico

Yes 1961 was a very good year (h/t Terje), but almost any year before 1969 for cars was.

Impro Guns - 3D Arms Traffickers

A joint operation between Ecuador and the United States made it possible to dismantle an organization that was dedicated to arms trafficking and production

Again from The Other McCain - ‘The Usual Suspects’: Detroit Police Make Arrest in Murder of Synagogue Leader

If the killer had been a MAGA-hat-wearing Republican, this story would be 24/7 on CNN. Under the circumstances, however, we can expect the murder of Samantha Woll to disappear quickly from the news.
