This is not really news. Family: Why no charges in shooting that killed Chicago educator? - CBS Chicago
It has been nearly two months since a Chicago assistant school principal was shot and killed in his downtown condo building.
No charges have been filed in the death of 32-year-old Abnerd Joseph, and his family is now asking why.
This article gives no details. We need to look back at what happened on the day in question. No charges filed in fatal high rise shooting: police. (From about a month ago.)
The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the 48th floor of the building at 60 E. Monroe St. as Abnerd Joseph was “wildly” knocking on residents’ doors, attempting to enter apartments and “yelling incoherently,” according to a police report.
When the doorman and four tenants went to check, he allegedly struck the doorman several times. A tenant then tried to calm him down and was also hit and fell down, the report said.
When he charged at another tenant, he was killed.
Even the self-defense hating regime in Chicago hasn't arrested the guy, because self-defense is illegal.
Even at the time of the shooting, the family was going about how he was not violent, and this didn't sound like him, and why don't you just call 911 and endure an assault? There is some in both articles about how he worked in education and was "enthusiastic." None of that matters.
And they have hired an attorney because they don't know why they can't have all of the answers in a murder case in 45 minutes. That's how it works on TV, after all.
