Also, don't break into other people's homes and "confront" them; they might be armed. Lakeview man whacked home intruder with a machete, Chicago police say - CWB Chicago
Lakeview is one of the 77 neighborhoods in Chicago.
Curcio allegedly entered his neighbor’s apartment through an unlocked door around 1 p.m. Saturday and confronted a 36-year-old man who lives there in the bedroom.
When the situation turned physical, the victim fetched a machete that his female roommate “keeps…by her bed for safety,” according to the report.
When just having a machete didn't stop the guy from attacking him, he started hitting him with the machete, striking both arms and wrists.
Cops found him by following the blood trail. The crazy thing is he didn't want to go the hospital, despite the fact that he was "bleeding profusely." Cops did eventually convince him to let paramedics take him to the hospital.
Clayton Curcio, 32, could not attend his bail hearing over the weekend because he was still hospitalized and scheduled to undergo a second surgery to repair severe injuries to both arms, according to court and police records.
They never said what the confrontation was about. But then, as The Other McCain points out regularly, Crazy People Are Dangerous.
