Is it just me, or are more crimes being stopped by concealed carry? Police: Customer shoots armed robbery suspect at Cassopolis gas station
Cassopolis, Michigan is a small town in southwest Michigan, about 15 miles northeast of South Bend, Indiana (home to the University of Notre Dame) and about 30 miles due east of Lake Michigan.
We’re told the man tried to rob the business until he was shot by a customer who had a gun at the time. He was in possession of a state-issued concealed pistol license.
[The clerk working at the time, Harjinder Singh,] described the situation as scary and recalls the suspect falling to the floor. He told FOX 17 he's never seen anything like it before.
The police arrived to find the bad guy being held at gun point. He was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. His accomplice was found, and she was arrested on a drug charge.
As is usual the investigation continues, though the police seem to believe that the bad guy got shot by a good guy.
