When You Outlaw Guns, Only Outlaws Have Guns

In Sweden the outlawing of guns, and the arrival of FGC-9 manufacturing, means that the bad guys are heavily armed and the law-abiding citizens are defenseless victims. That seems to be what the government wants.

There are apparently several groups in central Sweden that are manufacturing the FGC-9. Since guns are illegal, the law-abiding are not buying them. The gangs are. Click thru for the details.

The FGC-9 (F- Gun Control 9mm) was designed as a semiautomatic firearm where anything that could be 3D printed was. Well almost anything. It used some fairly standard, off-the-shelf components, like an AR-15 grip, and Glock 9mm magazines. Barrels and bolts are made from fairly standard stainless steel tubing, and hardware store items. Since that time, the facility to 3D print magazines, and grips was added. There is even a way to rifle the barrels using electrochemical machining. That involves a 3D-printed mandrel, a power source, some wire, an aquarium pump, and salt water.

I believe a way to print or manufacture a select-fire control group was added. Because if even semiautomatic firearms are illegal, why not manufacture a fully automatic firearm?

For me, I will stick with letting someone like Ruger or Glock manufacture my firearms. (If you look at some of the videos of the matches, there are a lot of problems.)
