Don't Threaten People in Alabama

They have the legal right to defend themselves. Suspected burglar shot, killed by homeowner: Baldwin Co. Sheriff's Office | WKRG

Deputies were called to the home on July 11 at 11:10 a.m. originally for a reported burglary. While en route, deputies were told the situation had escalated and the alleged burglar had been shot.

A break-in, destroyed property, threats to kill the homeowner. It didn't end well for the guy who broke in.

No charges have been filed. The sheriff’s office said once the investigation is complete, they will turn it over to a Baldwin County Grand Jury to determine whether charges are warranted. [from AL dot com]
