Temple police officers responded to a call of shots fired around 11:22 p.m. Tuesday and found an axe-wielding man tried to break into a home.
And in a sign that we all need to spend more time at the range, the homeowner shot at the would-be intruder and missed. Police did arrest the guy.
Enrique Olivares, 42, was arrested and charged in connection with the attempted home burglary. He's being held in the Bell County jail on a third-degree felony charge.
Self-defense is a human-right, and this didn't take place in New Jersey. Good Guys 1, Bad Guys 0.
