People Need to Face Facts

And Texans are still armed. Teenage crime: 2 16-year-olds killed, 5 other teens injured in shootings across Houston area during violent weekend - ABC13 Houston

Will get to the avoidance of facts in a minute.

There was a party in Texas that included some high-school-aged kids. No mention of whether or not they actually go to high school.

A 16-year-old boy got into a fight with the father of a girl at the party, and both the teen and father took out guns and started firing at each other, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The 16-year-old died. The father, who claims self-defense, was not charged, and the case will now go to a grand jury, according to deputies.

While I'm no lawyer, it is my understanding that every homicide in Texas is referred to a grand jury.

As for the avoidance of facts...

"It's just a different era we live in these days. Thinking there's 16-year-olds running around with guns is scary," a neighbor, who has asked not to be identified for his safety, told ABC13.

16 year olds often had guns "back in the day." It wasn't uncommon for there to be high school shooting teams, and for kids on those teams to bring their rifles to school. It didn't even cause a lockdown. What changed is that the Left has spent a few of generations tearing down our institutions, and they have really been attacking the family, in particular. There has also been an attack on the idea of Right and Wrong, since it is too close to Good and Evil. Now we live in a world where there are no constraints on the behavior of those 16-year-olds with guns. But go ahead, blame the inanimate object.

Self-defense is a still a human right, and it seems to still be your legal right in Texas, even if you have to defend yourself against an armed 16-year-old.
