Every once in a while I find a song via social media. I've been trying to stay away from the political side of social media, and just concentrate on movies and music. It isn't easy to do. While this is technically a dance song, it doesn't sound like the kind of thing I would have heard at the clubs. But then the clubs I went to were more Industrial and House. Still, it is an interesting blend of 1930s, and 1940s jazz (a la Cab Calloway) with the more modern music. Scatman John achieved most of his success in Japan.
This song is "Scatman (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop)" by Scatman John. It was released as a single in 1994, and was included his 1995 album Scatman's World.
It charted all over the world, including on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
