Home Invaders are still getting shot. Texas homeowner shoots suspected intruder, holds him at gunpoint until deputies arrive | Fox News
This story also points up the fact that people you know can be a threat.
"The homeowner stated that the intruder rammed his vehicle through the locked gate, accessing the property, and approached the residence front door, aggressively attempting to break into the residence," deputies said, according to the Forth Worth-Star Telegram.
Police found him on a sidewalk, in front of the residence, with a bullet wound in his leg.
Deputies said the homeowner and suspect know each other but didn't specify their relationship.
The gun-hating Left will go on, at length, about how if you own a gun, you are more likely to shoot someone you know. There is a very good reason for that. People you know are more likely to be a threat. At least that has traditionally been true. In the age of unrestrained carjacking and armed robbery that is taking hold in the Blue Cities, I think that may be changing.
But the point remains. People you know can be a threat. The ex-coworker turned stalker. An ex-boyfriend. The list of people you know who can be a problem is quite long.
Police took him to get his leg wound treated, and then they charged him with several things and took him to lockup.
In any event, self-defense is a human-right. And this happened in Texas.
