Oklahoma Is a Bad Place to Invade a Home

The population is heavily armed, and homeowners in the state are protected by the "Make My Day" law. Police in Chickasha investigate after homeowner shoots man

"When our officers arrived, they found that a man had forced his way into the home, and the homeowner had shot and killed him," said Lt. Gillian O’Brien, Chickasha Police Department.

That’s what police said led up to the deadly shooting around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

And a neighbor was shocked.

"You don’t expect it to happen right next door but that’s the crazy world we live in right now. You hate that someone lost their life today," [the neighbor] said.

The guy who did the shooting tells his story. Man who shot, killed someone trying to enter his home in Chickasha shares his story. It turns out that this all goes back to the "How dare you live without me" attitude.

The homeowner did not want to be on camera or have his name mentioned. He said it happened after the suspect was making threatening efforts to get inside his home, looking for his ex-girlfriend.

It is a fairly good interview with a couple of great quotes.

Self-defense is a human-right.
